Get there by water
Skip the Car. Take the Lake.
Looking for a Lake George water taxi or another way to get around by boat? Port of Call connects visitors with qualified local captains and transportation operators serving waterfront destinations around the lake — making it easy to travel between stops by water instead of by road.
Find available water transportation and connect with local operators serving the area. Launching Summer 2027.
A connected waterfront community
A Smarter, Safer, Stronger Lake
Port of Call is more than a way to discover where to go and how to get there. We're building a connected waterfront community that helps visitors make better-informed decisions, keeps people aware of changing conditions, and creates more opportunities for local businesses.
Verified Operators
Ride with greater confidence. Participating captains and transportation operators must provide proof of required licenses, credentials, and documentation. Port of Call tracks expiration dates and prevents operators with expired required credentials from accepting new rides until their documentation is current.
Know Before You Go
See what's happening around the lake before you head out. Port of Call lets captains and visitors report changing conditions and potential concerns they encounter on the water — floating debris, rough water, storm conditions, possible algae blooms, and navigation concerns — so others can stay informed more quickly.
Support Local
Every great day on the lake supports a local community. Port of Call connects visitors with local captains, restaurants, marinas, attractions, shops, lodging, tours, and other businesses at the moment they're deciding where to go and what to do.
Better information. Safer experiences. More opportunities for local businesses.
The AI concierge

"Can we get a boat from Lake George Village to Bolton Landing?"
"Where's a good place to swim with the kids?"
"What should we do this afternoon?"
"Where can we dock and grab dinner?"

For captains & operators
Put Your Boat to Work
Qualified captains and transportation operators can use Port of Call to connect with customers looking for transportation and waterfront experiences. We're building a trusted network of local operators for the Lake George launch — one where participating captains maintain all required licenses, credentials, insurance, and registrations. Port of Call tracks required expiration dates, and operators with expired documentation cannot accept new rides until everything is current and valid.

For local businesses
Bring Your Business to the Water
Port of Call is designed to support the economic health of waterfront communities. We help local businesses get discovered at the moment visitors are deciding where to eat, shop, explore, stay, or play. Restaurants and bars, marinas, attractions, hotels, retail, tour operators, and local service providers — if you serve the waterfront, there's a place for you. Participating businesses and community organizations may also be able to receive relevant reports about changing conditions around the lake.
